As God’s people, we are to love and care for those who are in the service of God and who minister to us in holy and spiritual things. We honor our God by esteeming his ministers highly in love for their work’s sake.
On Sunday, July 11, 2021, we hope to express our love and esteem to Pastor Aaron Dickerson as we celebrate his 3rd year of pastoral care to Transfiguration Lutheran Church. Pastor Dickerson officially became our pastor on July 1, 2019; however, he had begun his work as our spiritual leader in 2018.
As President of TLC, the executive leadership team had the opportunity to work very closely with Pastor Dickerson as we mapped out our ministry plans to strengthen the church ministries and to build for the future. Even during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pastor Dickerson remained in close contact with the church members through Sunday worship, weekly Bible study, mid-week prayer service, and council meetings, all via Zoom.
We appreciate the devotion and self-sacrifice Pastor Dickerson and his family have given us. Because of his great love he has for his flock, he has encouraged all of us to maintain our faith in a loving and compassionate God and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
It has been a blessing and an honor to have Pastor Dickerson as the pastor of TLC. He has blessed us all through his care, love, and faithfulness to our congregation. His continuous encouragement to our members is to become mature in our faith in the Lord and to be willing to be a witness for Jesus.
Leslie Jones, Congregation President

April 17, 2021 marked a historical servant event for Transfiguration and Trinity Chesterfield. The teams worked together to make and deliver dinner to Gateway 180 (G180). The Shine (LCMS) servant event is a challenge to expand and encourage community engagement opportunities.
The dinner consisted of mouth watering meatloaf, scrumptious green beans casserole, marvelous mashed potatoes, groovy gravy, Hawaiian rolls and chunky chocolate chip bars. All of the ingredients were donated by Trinity Chesterfield.
Transfiguration’s Shine volunteers were hands on to assist in the success of the event. Our Shine team members: Adeitria Jackson, Kathy Hawkins, Ruth Walker, Monique Patterson, Clarence McWilliams II and Shirley Jackson. Spotlight on Adeitria for transport assistance from Chesterfield to G180.
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” -Matthew 5:16
Thanks again Shine team for your outpouring of love to bless G180 and fellowship with Trinity Chesterfield. We are family in so many ways. This is the beginning of many stories to be shared.
